i went to Sheung Shui, New Territories side of HK to prepare meals for a place called “Home of Loving Faithfulness”. It’s a non-profit Christian charity house giving life-long home to severely handicapped children who are abandoned. I say ‘life-long’ as one of the member had stayed with this home until now when she is 60 years old. The English lady who is 1 of the founder is already 80 but she behaves like late 60s to me only. What she told us is amazing to us as they never have enough money or resources to do anything, never. But they just persist and have faith in God and things will take care on its own naturally and till now…since 1962 for nearly 50 years. One more thing, i can’t imagine why these kids or members of the Homes with all those disability they have could have those smiles they had on their face. Some of them, just smile all the way, if they could, do all of us who are healthy have a reason to sulk and be mad about things that appear so ‘small’ any more?
