rising with china

China and the way her people spends has always been the spotlight in many people’s lives especially those of HK people’s. Most of the street level retail spaces have become high end brands on timepiece, fashion and jewellery. It’s been a joke on a radio show by the host who said if you are getting hungry in Causeway Bay, you can consider to change your diet by eating watches. And I read from time to time that some countries or companies overseas refused to be acquired by Chinese entrepreneurs. I just read from the NY Times that China is considering to step in to relieve the European economical crisis by lending money to them, or actually pumping funds to the IMF – International Monetary Fund. It’s quite amazing how our fellow Chinese government and the people are equipped with massive funds and letting them pursue a lot of things they desire. There was once I hear on the podcast about a pastor teaching the scripture, he asked the congregation which is easier for them: to feel the pain of those who are in pain, or to feel the joy of those who are in success. At first I thought to myself, I would think it’s the former. But the pastor said it is the latter, it’s hard to be as happy when someone else is succeeding. I think this might be the case for people’s feeling towards China? It has to do a lot with the attitude of the Chinese people, but has it been our perception as well? Lets stay simple in interpreting their intention and action, I believe we need to simplify ourselves then putting a lot of personal interpretation and values in different situations.

What no eye has seen, what no ear has heard, and what no human mind has conceived— the things God has prepared for those who love him

1 Corinthians 2:19

I pray to God that I will be able to keep a simple mind and be a simple kind.
